Science students from different disciplines and various colleges and universities in the tri-state area participated in the First Annual Undergraduate Research Symposium on April 21 on campus.  The event featured two poster sessions, and a keynote address by Louis Terracio, associate dean school of Dentistry, New York University. An awards' ceremony capped the day.  Nearly two dozen students from William Paterson participated.

More than 75 walkers from William Paterson participated in the MS Walk held on April 22 in Liberty State Park. “The MS Walk was a great opportunity to unite many from campus,” says Francisco Diaz, assistant vice president for campus life. Students who participated included many from the Greek organizations, student government, residence life, the student activities programming board, and the United Cultural Greek Council. More than $5,000 was raised for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.

Bill Katinsky, who graduated earlier this month, played forward for the William Paterson ice hockey club team. On May 6, he was named 2006-2007 Southeast All-American by the American Collegiate Hockey Association, capping a career as a fou -time All Star. Katinsky holds the University’s record of more than 200 career points, and was alternate captain for four years.
