Sheila Collins, political science, has been invited to present a paper and to serve as a discussion leader at the Oxford Forum, an international, interdisciplinary think tank at Oxford University in England from March 21 to 26. The theme of the forum is: "The Copenhagen Protocol: Problems and Possibilities." The title of Collins’s paper is: "The Past is Prologue: the New World is Yet to Come: Governing the Global Commons in an Age of Transition." Collins will also present a paper at the annual conference of the Global Ecological Integrity Group at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver from June 27 to July 3.


Theron Cromer, a sophomore majoring in voice and music education, won first place in the New Jersey National Association of Teachers of Singing Festival held on February 20. Cromer, a tenor and a student of music professor Stephen Bryant, sang in the category of sophomore men. Also participating in the Festival from William Paterson were Kate Victor, a junior who is a student of Anastasia Swope, and Christa Cook, a sophomore who is also a student of Bryant’s.
