The William Paterson University TV Club, which runs WPTV-6, the on-campus television station raised $1,100 for the Ronald MacDonald House through its telethon on April 15. This is the twentieth bi-annual telethon that the TV station has held to raise money for charity. The telethon is a student-run event.

WPTV-6 broadcasts to a potential 72,000 viewers on and off campus. The student-produced shows air every night from 7:00 to 10:00 p.m. on Channel 6 on campus, and Channel 76, the local access channel in Wayne and North Haledon. The members of the club create and produce twelve different shows, ranging from sports to politics and entertainment. Last semester, sixty-seven different episodes of various shows were broadcast.
