WAR OF THE SEXES IS WAGED IN THEATRICAL COMEDY AT WILLIAM PATERSON UNIVERSITY

The comedy "Lusting after Pipino’s Wife" will be presented at William Paterson University’s Hunziker Black Box Theatre in Wayne. Slated for a run October 19 - 21 and 24 - 27, the community/educational theatre production is directed by Joseph Giani. William Paterson theatre staff members Edward Matthews and Shari Selke serve as producer/lighting designer and production stage manager, respectively

Sam Henry Kass’s "Lusting after Pipino’s Wife" is a cleverly constructed comedy about the never-ending war between the sexes. In a series of quick scenes, the four characters, Vinnie, Patsy, Lorraine and Rita, use sharp and witty dialogue to define opposing philosophies of life and love. Neither Pipino, a restaurant dishwasher, nor his gorgeous wife is actually seen, but their lives serve as the source of discourse for this battle of wits.

The William Paterson University cast is comprised of students and alumni. Cast members include Valerie Megariotis (Lorraine) of Clifton, Andrew Poller (Patsy) of West Caldwell, Tara Ricart (Rita) of Saddle Brook, and Frank Simini (Vinnie) of Dover.

Show times for "Lusting after Pipino’s Wife" are 8 p.m., October 19 – 20 and 25 - 27; 6 p.m., October 21; and 12:30 p.m., October 25. Tickets are $8, $6 for senior citizens and members of the William Paterson community. For directions or to purchase tickets, please call the Shea Center Box Office at 973.720.2371.
