NJ Transit Offers Extended Bus Service for William Paterson University’s 1600 Valley Road Building

As the result of a collaborative effort by NJ TRANSIT and William Paterson University, bus service has been extended on the No. 744 Passaic-Wayne line to serve William Paterson's new building at 1600 Valley Road in Wayne.

The NJ TRANSIT bus line No. 744 operates from Passaic, Clifton, Paterson, Prospect Park, and Haledon via the main William Paterson campus on Pompton Road in Wayne enroute to/from the Preakness Shopping Center and Wayne Hills Mall in Wayne. Effective September 3, 2002, service on the No. 744 was rerouted along Valley Road, north of Paterson-Hamburg Turnpike to/from the University's new 1600 Valley Road building. Service is provided on weekdays only every 30 minutes between 7:20 a.m. and 6:25 p.m. in both directions.

This extended bus line service gives William Paterson's faculty, staff and students easy access to and from the satellite William Paterson facility as well as transfer access to New York City bus service.

For further information, riders can call NJ TRANSIT between 6 a.m. and midnight at 1-800-772-2222 or at 973-762-5100 from out of state. For persons with hearing impairments, the number is 1-800-772-2287. Customers can also check NJ TRANSIT’s website, www.njtransit.com, for additional information.
