GALLOWAY RESIDENT ELECTED AS REPRESENTATIVE TO WILLIAM PATERSON UNIVERSITY BOARD OF TRUSTEES

Angela Rodriguez, a resident of Galloway and a student at William Paterson University in Wayne, has been sworn in as a student representative to the University’s Board of Trustees.

A junior majoring in communication and political science, Rodriguez is currently in her first year of a two-year appointment. As student representative, she will attend board meetings, relaying student issues and concerns to the board as well as providing a student’s perspective to all decisions.

One of two student representatives on the University’s board, Rodriguez will assume the position of voting representative during the second year of her term.

Rodriguez currently serves as vice president of the junior class, and is a member of the Student Government Association (SGA) Court of Judicial Review, which monitors the activities of the University’s more than 60 SGA-chartered clubs. She also chairs the SGA’s New Organizations Committee. She is involved in a number of extracurricular activities, including the Model United Nations and the Political Science Club, and assists in coordinating the University’s annual Sister to Sister Conference.

Rodriguez, a graduate of Absegami High School, is the daughter of John and Rosemarie Rodriguez of Galloway,
