Cherish the Ladies, the renowned all-woman Irish music group, will perform traditional Irish music and dance in a holiday show, "A Celtic Christmas," at William Paterson University in Wayne on Tuesday, December 10 at 7:30 p.m. Tickets for the performance in Shea Center on campus are $22 standard, $20 for senior citizens and members of the William Paterson community, and $7 for William Paterson students.

"A Celtic Christmas" brings together harmonies, Celtic instrumentation and high-energy step dancing in a repertoire that includes traditional songs and popular carols.

A six-woman ensemble, Cherish the Ladies has performed throughout North and South America, the United Kingdom and Europe. Nominated for a Grammy Award in 1999 for a collaborative album with the Boston Pops symphony, the group has recorded seven highly acclaimed albums. They have been named Entertainment Group of the Year by Irish Voice newspaper and received the Glasgow Royal Concert Hall’s International Group of the Year Award at the Celtic Connections Festival in Scotland.
