WILLIAM PATERSON UNIVERSITY PRESENTS ONE-DAY CONFERENCE ON ASIAN STUDIES

William Paterson University in Wayne is sponsoring a one-day conference on educators in New Jersey on Saturday, April 26 on the teaching of Asian studies.

"Teaching Asia" aims at fostering a deeper understanding of the region, and at promoting Asian studies both across the curriculum and in professional fields. It will be held in the Atrium building on campus from 8:15 a.m. (registration and coffee) until 2:30 p.m.

The conference features nine workshop presentations by William Paterson Asian studies scholars that will provide in-depth information on a wide variety of topics as well as explore practical classroom issues. There also will be demonstrations of Asian culture, a round-table discussion, and a book display.

The program is sponsored by the University’s Asian Studies Program in the College of Humanities and Social Sciences and the Center for Continuing Education and Distance Learning.

Registered conference attendees are eligible for 5 contact hours or 5 CEUs. Registration fee is $65. Non-registrants are welcome to attend the cultural demonstrations and other Atrium lobby events.
