WILLIAM PATERSON UNIVERSITY TO HOLD AUDITIONS FOR "CROSSING DELANCEY"

Open auditions for William Paterson University’s production of "Crossing Delancey," a popular play and movie by Susan Sandler, will be held in Hunziker Room 201 on the University’s campus in Wayne on May 18 from 3 to 6 p.m. and May 19 from 6 to 9 p.m. The play will be produced July 11 through 19.

"Crossing Delancey" is a sentimental, character-driven romantic comedy about a New York City Jewish woman who must choose between suitors and cultures.

Professional and community actors are encouraged to audition for this production. Interested actors should come prepared to read from the script; a two-minute modern comic monologue is optional.
Parts are available for: Isabelle (25 - 35), a single Jewish modern woman; Bubbie, Isabelle’s Jewish grandmother; Hannah, a middle-aged Jewish matchmaker; Sam (30 - 40), a single, Jewish pickle seller; and Tyler (40+), a pretentious writer.
