WILLIAM PATERSON UNIVERSITY PRESENTS TONY AWARD-WINNER, “PROOF,” FROM APRIL 5 TO 9

William Paterson University in Wayne will present a production of “Proof,” David Auburn’s drama, from April 5 to 9 in the Hunziker Black Box Theatre on campus. “Proof” was the 2001 Tony Award winner for best play and won the 2001 Pulitzer Prize for drama.

In “Proof,” playwright David Auburn weaves together a complex family relationship, one woman's search for her own identity, and the mystery surrounding the authorship of an important mathematical formula. Mathematics, love, genius, trust, madness, fear and humor comprise the formula for this drama.

The cast features three William Paterson University students and a professor: Jennifer Lengares of Hewitt; Jason Schaeffer of West Milford; Lindsay Tierstein of Pine Hill; and Chris Holle, assistant professor of psychology of Ringwood. The production is directed by Jerry Beal, William Paterson University assistant professor of communication.

Show times for “Proof” are 8 p.m. on April 5 - 9; and 2 p.m. on April 10. Tickets are $10, $7 for senior citizens. For directions or to purchase tickets, please call the Shea Center Box Office at 973-720-2371.
