WILLIAM PATERSON UNIVERSITY TO HOLD ANNUAL SMALL BUSINESS PROCUREMENT EXPO ON FRIDAY, APRIL 15

Members of the business community are invited to attend William Paterson University’s Annual Small Business Procurement Expo on Friday, April 15 in the Rec Center on the campus in Wayne.
The event is part of William Paterson’s continuing effort to encourage members of the University and other organizations in New Jersey to increase their use of the services offered by small businesses. The Expo is sponsored by the University’s Division of Administration and Finance and supported by the Small Business Development Center.

The event will include two seminars of interest to the small business community. Nat Bender, director of e-business services for the New Jersey Small Business Development Center, will discuss “Building Traffic to Your Web Site: Get Online Now!” at 8:30 a.m. Tony Carter, a chair of the Center for Sales Management in the University’s Russ Berrie Institute for Professional Sales, will speak on “Competitive Practices Affecting Small Businesses Today” at 9:30 a.m.

The exhibit hall opens at 10:30 a.m. and continues until 1 p.m. More than 60 small business representatives will display their services. Buyers will have an opportunity to interact with the vendors and discuss their services, which include: advertising services, audiovisual equipment, computer products, computer security, computer hardware and software supplies and service, computer training, commercial printing, extermination and pest control, employment services, floor covering, industrial and electrical equipment, marketing, janitorial supplies, office equipment and furnishings, and signs, among others.

There is no admission charge to walk through the exhibit hall.
