Steven Van Zandt to be Interviewed by Renowned Director Peter Bogdanovich as Part of William Paterson University’s Distinguished Lecturer Series on October 13

Steven van Zandt of Bruce Springsteen’s E Street Band and The Sopranos discusses his life, music, and acting, with renowned director Peter Bogdanovich on October 13 as part of William Paterson University’s 27th Distinguished Lecturer Series on the campus in Wayne.
           
Subscriptions for the series are $115 for the general public and $35 for William Paterson students. A limited number of single tickets are now available at the Shea Center Box Office for the van Zandt/Bogdanovich program, and for all remaining lectures on October 17. For ticket availability, and to purchase subscriptions or single tickets, please call the box office at 973-720-2371 between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. or purchase online at http://www.wpunj.edu/dls; prices are $32 standard; $30 for senior citizens and William Paterson faculty, staff and alumni; $10 for William Paterson students; and $14 for students from other schools. All lectures begin at 8 p.m. in Shea Center on campus in Wayne; parking is free.

Van Zandt, who is known throughout the world as the lead guitarist in Bruce Springsteen’s E Street Band and as Silvio Dante on the hit HBO show, The Sopranos, will engage in a conversation with his friend, Peter Bogdanovich. Van Zandt, an acclaimed musician, human rights activist (the United Nations has honored him twice for his achievements), actor, and radio host, is not only a member of the E Street Band, he is a noted solo artist, record producer, and songwriter. Currently, he hosts a weekly syndicated radio show, "Little Steven’s Underground Garage," and has created program formats on satellite radio.

Bogdanovich has directed 25 films, including two Oscar-winners, The Last Picture Show and Paper Moon. He has made a lasting impact on the industry, is widely recognized for his superb craftsmanship and assured handling of actors, has a recurring role on the Emmy Award-winning show, The Sopranos, and has authored 14 books and dozens of articles and program notes about Hollywood.
