William Paterson University to Present Play Heralding the 21st Century
The wonders of the 21st century are on display at William Paterson University in a new musical play which dramatizes the events and people who made significant contributions to United States history over the past 100 years.
“Wow! What a Century,” will be held on March 4 at 1 p.m. in Shea Center for Performing Arts. It features portraits of people and events which changed American society and culture to reveal a century’s worth of optimism and opportunity. Through song and dance, it begins with a look at family life in 1900, and moves through the years and accomplishments of people from the films of Charlie Chaplin and Henry Ford’s innovative cars, to the Roosevelt and Kennedy years to the civil and women’s rights movements.
The play is a production of the Pushcart Players. Tickets to the show are $5 for adults, and free for children. For ticket information, call the Shea Center Box Office at 973-720-2371.
