CONFERENCE ON GLOBAL IMPACT OF EMERGING ECONOMIES IN ASIA TO BE HELD AT WILLIAM PATERSON UNIVERSITY ON APRIL 3

The global impact of economic growth in Asia, and how best to further the development of capital, financial, and trade markets in the Asian Pacific region, will be explored in a conference at William Paterson University in Wayne on Tuesday, April 3 from 9:30 a.m. to noon in the 1600 Valley Road building.  The event, titled “Emerging Economies in Asia and Their Global Impact,” is sponsored by the University’s Christos M. Cotsakos College of Business.  Admission is free and open to the public.

Speakers include Steve Hamm, a senior writer for Business Week’s information technology section, who will discuss “Winners and Losers:  A Competitive Analysis;” Hoo Kyu Rhu, chief representative of the New York office of the Bank of Korea, who will address “Economic and Financial Development in Korea;” and David B. Edwards, a managing director at Standard Chartered Bank, who will speak on “Microfinance in Emerging Economics in Asia.”
