WILLIAM PATERSON UNIVERSITY RESCHEDULES DISTINGUISHED LECTURER SERIES PROGRAM FEATURING RETIRED NEW JERSEY CHIEF JUSTICE DEBORAH T. PORITZ WITH STEVE ADUBATO FOR MAY 4

Deborah T. Poritz, retired chief justice of the New Jersey Supreme Court, will be interviewed by Steve Adubato, host of One-on-One with Steve Adubato, as part of William Paterson University’s 27th Distinguished Lecturer Series on May 4
at 8 p.m. in the University’s Shea Center for Performing Arts, Wayne, N.J. The program, originally scheduled for March 16 was postponed due to inclement weather.

Tickets issued for March 16 will be honored on May 4. To purchase tickets, please call the Shea Center Box Office at 973-720-2371 between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. or purchase online at http://www.wpunj.edu/dls; prices are $32 standard; $30 for senior citizens and William Paterson faculty, staff and alumni; $10 for William Paterson students; and $14 for students from other schools. Parking is free.

Chief Justice Poritz has affected the lives of New Jerseyans for many years as the state’s first female Chief Justice of the Supreme Court and first female Attorney General. Poritz assumed her position as Chief Justice in July 1996 after she served as the state’s Attorney General, as well as deputy and assistant Attorney General. From 1989 to 1990, she served as chief counsel to Governor Thomas Kean.  
Poritz, who retired from the bench in October 2006 and joined Drinker, Biddle & Reath, a law firm in Princeton, will discuss her impressive career and the major issues that she faced when she is interviewed by Emmy Award winning anchor Steve Adubato. Their interaction will air on his TV program, One-on-One with Steve Adubato, on CN8-The Comcast Network throughout the East coast at a later date.

Adubato is a television anchor and broadcaster on both public television and cable, as well as an author, commentator, motivational speaker, university lecturer, and Star- Ledger columnist. He is an Emmy Award-wining anchor for Channel 13/WNET (PBS). Adubato serves as an expert commentator for MSNBC, the FOX News Channel, FOX 5 and ABC/7 in New York.  He has also provided commentary on CNBC, CNN, C-Span, WBGO, and the National Public Radio affiliate in the New York region.
