The Fab Faux, a popular Beatles tribute band, will perform at William Paterson University’s Shea Center for Performing Arts at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, March 15, 2008 on the campus in Wayne, N.J.  The concert is a benefit for the Songs of Love Foundation.

The group features Jimmy Vivino, guitarist from Late Night with Conan O'Brien, and Will Lee, bassist from The Late Show with David Letterman. Other lead vocalists include Rich Pagano, Frank Agnello, and Jack Petruzzelli.

Committed to the accurate reproduction of The Beatles' repertoire, the band plays material from later albums that was never performed live as well as a good portion of early guitar works.

Since their formation in the spring of 1998, the band has created a buzz among Beatles fans in the New York City area, including packed audiences at The Bowery Ballroom, Webster Hall, Irving Plaza, The Bottom Line, and The China Club.

The Fab Faux was featured in a full-length profile on CNN that was broadcast worldwide. They also participated in a CD of original material by Beatles tribute bands, recorded in London at Abbey Road Studios. The group has performed multiple times in Liverpool, England, where they play three shows each year for that city's annual Beatle Week festivities, including outdoor concerts for more than 35,000 people on the Apple-sponsored Yellow Submarine and Let It Be stages.

The Songs of Love Foundation (www.songsoflove.org) is a nonprofit organization that creates uplifting, personalized songs for children and teens struggling with a life-threatening illness or lifetime disability.

The event is part of William Paterson’s Shea Center Presents Vistas Series, designed to serve the University’s students and faculty, as well as the surrounding multicultural community. Funding for the Vistas Series at William Paterson University has been made possible, in part, by the New Jersey State Council on the Arts/Department of State.

Tickets are $150 for Gold Circle seating; $125 rear orchestra; $100 front loge; and $75 rear loge $75. For ticket information, call the Shea Center Box Office at 973-720-2371.
