A variety of festive activities, including an evening bonfire and barbecue, a comedy show, and the traditional football game, will be held for William Paterson alumni, students, parents, faculty and staff as the University celebrates Pioneer Pride Week and Homecoming 2007 from October 7 through 13.
“We’re looking forward to celebrating a new academic year with our alumni and the campus community, especially the opening of the University Commons, which is a fantastic addition to the campus,” says Judy Linder, executive director of alumni relations. “We hope many alumni will return to campus for Homecoming events and share their Pioneer pride with us.”
Francisco Diaz, assistant vice president for campus life, says a variety of events have been planned by students to generate positive energy on campus. “This week of activities leading up to Homecoming is designed to emphasize the students’ connection to the University, and to make them feel positive about being William Paterson students – Pioneers,” he says. “We encourage everyone to join in and show their Pioneer spirit.”
