University Observes World AIDS Day

The AIDS Memorial Quilt, a candlelight vigil, and speaker were on campus on December 4 as the University observed the 20th anniversary of World AIDS Day.

Alice Marino spoke about her own struggles with HIV/AIDS during a lecture held in the University Commons. She is featured on MTV as a spokesperson for HIV/AIDS Awareness Prevention and works with Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS as an advocated for HIV/AIDS Awareness Prevention.

Portions of the AIDS Memorial Quilt were on display in the University Commons on December 4 as part of the University’s World AIDS Day observance.
