A fund-raising walk to promote breast cancer awareness, and health and wellness, will be held at William Paterson University for students, faculty, staff and alumni. The public is also invited to attend the event on October 1.
The walk on campus will begin at Zanfino Plaza, by the carillon clock, and will run from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. The one-mile walk will be accessible and stair-free, and is held in recognition of October as Breast Cancer Awareness Month. The rain date is October 8.
Donations will also be accepted from those who choose not to walk. All funds raised will go to Susan G. Komen for the Cure, the National Breast Cancer Foundation, and the American Cancer Society. Last year, the event attracted 683 walkers and raised more than $10,000 for charities.
