WILLIAM PATERSON UNIVERSITY OFFERS WIDE RANGE OF CONTINUING EDUCATION COURSES THIS FALL

The Center for Continuing Education and Distance Learning (CEDL) at William Paterson University is offering a wide-ranging selection of courses this fall for high school and transfer students, and adults who want to begin or continue their college degree.

More than 300 graduate, undergraduate, credit and noncredit courses and 75 company training courses are scheduled from September to December at various sites in Bergen, Passaic, Morris and Sussex Counties. Many are located on the campus in Wayne, while others are available in community-based sites.

The courses include for-credit courses, both graduate and undergraduate, ranging from graduate courses in recent advances in biology and biotechnology to accelerated courses in history. Undergraduate offerings include management information systems and taxation courses. Business programs for professionals include certification in accounting, management, and communication and business writing skills.

Workforce development classes teach basic business skills such as customer service, keyboarding and bookkeeping to students who are entering the workplace. Personal and professional growth classes are aimed at participants who want to learn about personal finance, test preparation, and music, dance, and writing.

A full schedule of allied health classes will also be formed beginning in September. Courses focusing on technology in the workplace and at home include computer training, and Web site design. Other computer include a series of courses that are offered in some of the most popular software packages including Windows 95 and PowerPoint.
