"DURANG/DURANG" TO BE PRESENTED AT WILLIAM PATERSON UNIVERSITY

"Durang/Durang," a collection of six comedic sketches by Christopher Durang, will be staged at William Paterson University on February 18, 19, 20, 23, 24, 25, and 26 at 8 p.m., February 20 at 3 p.m., and also February 24 at 12:30 p.m. in Shea Center on campus. At the February 24 matinee, a discussion of the work in relation to the twentieth century immediately follows the performance.

Tickets are $7 standard and $5 for the William Paterson community, senior citizens and students.

"With the help of Mr. Durang, the fine art of parody has returned to theatre in a production you can sink teeth and mind into, while also laughing like an idiot," said the The New York Times.

Described by TheaterWeek as six "silly, funny, over-the-top sketches," "Durang/Durang" deals with the topics of sex, love, marriage and death. The comedies include: "Mrs. Sorken," "For Whom the Southern Belle Tolls," "A Style of the Eye," "Nina in the Morning," "Wanda's Visit," and "Business Lunch at the Russian Tea Room."

Featured in the cast are William Paterson students Chris Beatty of Wayne; Mike Brady of Prospect Park; Blake Driver of Alburquerque, NM; Raechel Heffers of Barnegat; Virginia Kamenitzer of Haledon; Sandra Leach of Absecon; Edra Beth Pantazes of Northfield; Alyce Janel Rosolen of Clifton; and Jeff Wickersty of Englishtown.

Other cast members include John Klemek of Ringwood; Emily Lepore of Dumont; Marlene Matsko of Garfield, and Paul Reisman of Wyckoff.
