- AUDITIONS SCHEDULED FOR WILLIAM PATERSON
SUMMER JAZZ ENSEMBLE

- High school, college and community musicians
are invited to audition for the 18-member William Paterson University
Summer Jazz Ensemble, which will perform at the university in
July.
- Auditions for the ensemble will be held
on Thursday, June 10 from 7 to 9 p.m. in room 109 of Shea Center
on campus in Wayne. Those who wish to try out should prepare
a piece of jazz music of three minutes or less.
- Dr. Stephen Marcone, chair of William
Paterson's Music Department, will direct the ensemble. A concert
featuring Bob Mintzer as guest soloist will be presented at William
Paterson on Wednesday, July 28 as part of "Jazz It Up!,"
the university's free week-long jazz festival. Rehearsals for
those selected will begin on Wednesday, June 23 and continue
through July 28.
