THEATRICAL FARCE STAGED AT WILLIAM PATERSON
UNIVERSITY
The comedy "Lend Me A Tenor" will be presented at William
Paterson Universitys Shea Center for Performing Arts in Wayne.
The community/educational theatre production is slated for a run
July 11 - 14 and 18 - 20. William Paterson theatre staff members
Edward Matthews and Shari Selke serve as production director/designer
and production stage manager, respectively.
Ken Ludwigs "Lend Me A Tenor" is set in the 1930s
and sends audiences on a wild romp of mistaken identity, desperate
measures and compromising positions. The 1989 Broadway production
earned seven Tony nominations; and awards for Philip Bosco as Saunders
for Best Actor and Jerry Zaks for Best Director.
The William Paterson University cast is comprised of students, alumni
and community members. Cast members include Amanda Arthur (Maggie)
of Clifton, Elizabeth Dispenza (Maria) of Wayne, Andrew Galuskin
(Tito) of Rutherford, Paul Reisman (Bellhop) of Wyckoff, Alyce Janel
Rosolen (Julia) of Bloomfield, Frank Simini (Saunders) of Dover,
Monica Trim (Diana) of Randolph, and Michael Wnoroski (Max) of Clifton.
Show times for "Lend Me A Tenor" are 8 p.m., with a 3
p.m. matinee on Sunday, July 14. Tickets are $12 general admission,
$8 for senior citizens and members of the William Paterson community.
