REBECCA GILMAN’S CHILLER, “BOY
GETS GIRL,” ON STAGE AT WILLIAM PATERSON UNIVERSITY OCTOBER
17 T0 25
“Boy Gets Girl,” Rebecca Gilman’s
popular and thought-provoking drama, will be presented at William
Paterson University’s Hunziker Black Box Theatre in Wayne
from October 17 to 25. Elizabeth Stroppel, assistant professor of
communication, will direct.
The cast is comprised of William Paterson
University students and faculty members. Students are: Travis Garcia
of Boonton as “Tony,” Sara Parise of Westerly, R.I.
as “Madeleine Beck,” Latoya Pinckney of Paterson as
“Harriet,” Rob Traegler of Hamilton Square as “Mercer
Stevens,” and Sue Weinberger of Mahwah as “Theresa Bedell.”
Jay Ludwig of Kinnelon, a William Paterson professor of communication,

“Boy Gets Girl” is a dark and
sometimes disturbing view of contemporary, urban single life. The
suspenseful tale reveals the unraveling of a strong woman’s
sense of security. What seems like an innocuous blind date quickly
turns sour when persistence turns into terror and romantic pursuit
becomes obsession.
