WILLIAM PATERSON UNIVERSITY HOMECOMING AND FAMILY DAY WEEKEND SET FOR OCTOBER 17 AND 18
—Pioneer Football Team to play Montclair State at 1 p.m. on October 18
—Homecoming Fair and Unity Jam Set for October 17 and 18

William Paterson University in Wayne will celebrate Homecoming and Family Weekend on Friday, October 17 and Saturday, October 18. Alumni and members of the local community are invited to participate in a variety of events hosted by the William Paterson Alumni Association.

The weekend kicks off with a Homecoming Fair and Unity Jam in Lot 6 near the Rec Center. The event, featuring live entertainment, food, and fun for all ages, will be held on Friday, October 17 from 6 to 11 p.m. and on Saturday, October 18 from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and 8 p.m. to midnight. Admission is free. The fair is co-sponsored by the Alumni Association, the Student Government Association, the Student Activities Programming Board, the Greek Senate and the Office of Campus Activities and Student Leadership.

The Alumni Association will hold its annual meeting on Friday evening at 7:30 p.m. at the Allan and Michele Gorab Alumni House.

Saturday’s activities begin at 9 a.m. with a Parents Association breakfast for parents in the lobby of the Atrium on campus. Tours of the campus will depart from the Atrium beginning at 10:30 a.m.

The Pioneer football team squares off against Montclair State University at 1 p.m. on Wightman Field. Admission is $7, $5 for alumni, $4 for visiting students, children and senior citizens, and free for William Paterson students with ID. The Pioneer Men’s Soccer Team plays Rutgers-Camden at 5 p.m. on Wightman Field. Other events include a Veterans Reunion Barbecue at 5 p.m. at the Allan and Michele Gorab Alumni House
