NEIL SIMON COMEDY, "JAKE’S WOMEN," ON STAGE AT WILLIAM PATERSON UNIVERSITY FEBRUARY 21 – MARCH 1

"Jake’s Women," Neil Simon’s popular comedy and one of his later works, will be presented at the Hunziker Black Box Theatre at William Paterson University in Wayne from February 21 through March 1. William Paterson faculty Jerry Beal of Hoboken, assistant professor of communication, is director, and Christian
Holle of Ringwood, assistant professor of psychology, stars as Jake.

"Jake’s Women" is a comic psychological look at the complications in modern relationships. Jake, a novelist who is better at writing about life than living it, faces a marital crisis by living out imaginary scenes with various women from his past and present. Flashbacks are interrupted by actual encounters, with hilarious and serious results. Contributing to the confusion are Jake’s estranged wife, his girlfriend, his late wife, his daughter (at different ages), his sister and his psychiatrist.

The cast is comprised of William Paterson University faculty and students and local community members. Students are Graciela Gonzalez of Paterson; Tiffany Groglio of Plantsville, Connecticut; Jennifer Lengares of Hewitt; Lisa Nicholas of West New York; and Houda Razouki of North Haledon. Other cast members include Carol Greski of Berkeley Heights, an adjunct instructor at William Paterson, and Danielle Jerensky of Haledon.

Show times for "Jake’s Women," are 8 p.m., February 21, 22, 26, 27, 28 and March 1; 12:30 p.m., February 27; and 6 p.m., February 23. Tickets are $10, $6 for senior citizens. For directions or to purchase tickets, please call the Shea Center Box Office at 973-720-2371.
