WILLIAM PATERSON UNIVERSITY PRESENTS
"THE KEVIN MEANEY CHRISTMAS SHOW"
|
Kevin Meaney, a stand-up comedian and star
of numerous award-winning HBO specials, will present his own light-hearted
perspective on the holidays in "The Kevin Meaney Christmas Show"
to be staged at William Paterson’s Shea Center for Performing
Arts on December 12 at 8 p.m. The show will feature a special guest
appearance by the Wayne Valley High School Choir.
Meaney’s Christmas production debuted last year in his hometown
of Tarrytown, N.Y. His amusing anecdotes and lively banter offer an
escape from the stresses of the season. Meaney devotes his show to
reminiscing about his own holiday childhood memories. The production
will also feature appearances by other comedians, who will provide
their own entertaining opinions about the holidays.
Meaney has always been interested in making people laugh. He has made
numerous appearances on "The Tonight Show," and performed
in front of comedic legend Johnny Carson. Meaney also won an Emmy
for his role on the San Francisco PBS show, "Comedy Tonight."
In 1996, he wrote, produced and starred in a one-man autobiographical
play, "Vegas Vows."
