WILLIAM PATERSON UNIVERSITY TO HOLD GROUNDBREAKING CEREMONY FOR CONSTRUCTION OF NEW RESIDENCE HALLS ON JULY 19 AT 10:30 A.M.
—U.S. Rep. Pascrell Scheduled to Speak

William Paterson University in Wayne will hold a groundbreaking ceremony on Monday, July 19 at 10:30 a.m. to celebrate the beginning of construction on two new residence halls. The ceremony will be held near the construction site at the base of Parking Lot 5.

The $30 million project is part of the University’s comprehensive Facilities Master Plan, which was developed to guide short- and long-term plans for the campus and describes the need for new construction and renovations to support the University’s academic mission. The two new residence halls will add a total of 372 beds to meet the growing demand for on-campus housing.

The ceremony will include remarks by U. S. Rep. William Pascrell; Gwen Taylor, chair of the University’s Board of Trustees; Arnold Speert, president of William Paterson University; and Nina Jemmott, associate vice president for academic affairs and dean of graduate studies.

Reporters and photographers may park in Row B of Parking Lot 5. (See link for map of the campus).
