GROUNDBREAKING CEREMONY FOR CONSTRUCTION OF NEW RESIDENCE HALLS
ON JULY 19 AT 10:30 A.M.
—U.S. Rep. Pascrell Scheduled to Speak
William Paterson University in Wayne will hold a groundbreaking
ceremony on Monday, July 19 at 10:30 a.m. to celebrate the beginning
of construction on two new residence halls. The ceremony will be
held near the construction site at the base of Parking Lot 5.
The $30 million project is part of the University’s comprehensive
Facilities Master Plan, which was developed to guide short- and
long-term plans for the campus and describes the need for new construction
and renovations to support the University’s academic mission.
The two new residence halls will add a total of 372 beds to meet
the growing demand for on-campus housing.
The ceremony will include remarks by U. S. Rep. William Pascrell;
Gwen Taylor, chair of the University’s Board of Trustees;
Arnold Speert, president of William Paterson University; and Nina
Jemmott, associate vice president for academic affairs and dean
of graduate studies.
