William Paterson University Presents “Stand By Your Man”

“Stand By Your Man,” a musical depicting the triumphs and tragedies of the late Tammy Wynette, one of country music’s biggest female stars, will be staged in the Shea Center for Performing Arts at 8 p.m. on October 30 at William Paterson University in Wayne.

The performance chronicles Wynette’s life throughout some of her happiest and most difficult periods including falling in love, getting divorced and her addiction to prescription drugs. The show features 26 of her hits, including “I Don’t Want to Play House Anymore,” “Till I Can Make It on My Own” and “Stand By Your Man,” which is among the biggest selling singles in country music history.

The event is produced by Encore Attractions. Tickets are $30 standard, $28 for senior citizens, William Paterson faculty, staff and alumni, and $8 for students. Children under five years of age will not be admitted into this event. For directions or to purchase tickets, please call the Shea Center for Performing Arts at 973-720-2371.
