Paterson University On December 7
The William Paterson University Choir and the William Paterson University
Chamber Singers will present a winter concert featuring Mozart’s
“Solemn Vespers” on Tuesday, December 7 at 8 p.m. in
the Shea Center for Performing Arts on the campus in Wayne. Admission
is free.
Stephen Bryant, William Paterson University music professor and
internationally recognized bass-baritone, will conduct. “Solemn
Vespers,” including “Laudate Dominum,” will be
performed by the William Paterson Choir and student soloists Jamie
McLaughlin of Cape May Court House, soprano; Devin Buerkle of Eatontown,
alto; Frank Impelluso of Wanaque, tenor; and Daniel Salyerds of

The William Paterson Brass Quintet will accompany the choir for
a performance of Daniel Pinkham’s “Christmas Cantata,”
a piece that captures the spirit of the holiday season through Latin
texts and rhythmic melodies.
In addition, the William Paterson University Chamber Singers, under
the direction of Frederick Irwin, an adjunct professor of music,
will perform works by Rutter, Buxtehude, Debussy, Morley and Peter
Schickele, a humorous American composer.
