Lanford Wilson’s Drama,“The Rimers Of Eldritch,” on Stage at William Paterson University April 15 To April 20

“The Rimers of Eldritch,” Lanford Wilson’s dramatic murder mystery, will be presented at William Paterson University’s Shea Center for Performing Arts in Wayne from April 15 to 20. Jerry Beal, assistant professor of theater, will direct.

The story is set in the small, mid-western town of Eldritch. Community members, comprised of gossips, compassionless preachers and car-conscious girls, are shocked to learn of a man’s mysterious death, which sends this tight-knit group into a search for answers.

The cast consists of William Paterson faculty, students and alumni. Faculty members include Carol Greski, adjunct professor of communication, of Berkeley Heights, Chris Holle, assistant professor of psychology, of Ringwood and Jay Ludwig, professor of communication, of Kinnelon. Students who are participating are Stephanie Bailey of Hackensack, John Gayla of Laurence Harbor, Tiffany Groglio of Plantsville, Connecticut, Elena Kakogiannis of Rutherford, Jennifer Lengares of Hewitt, Irma Lepe of Rutherford, Alana Michaels of Lake Hopatcong, Malika Oyetimein of Somerdale, Jennifer Sisco of Bloomingdale and Isabella Walczak of Wayne. Alumni performers include Oscar Ramirez of North Bergen and Kevin Thomas of Willingboro. Community members Joan Ludwig of Kinnelon, Judy Stone of Union City and Charlie Tombros of Berkeley Heights are also part of the cast.

Show times for “The Rimers of Eldritch” are 8 p.m., April 15, 16, 17, 19; 3 p.m. on April 18 and 12:30 p.m. on April 20. Tickets are $14 standard, $10 for senior citizens and members of the William Paterson community and $7 for students (limit 2 per ID).
