William Paterson University to Present “Alexander
and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day”
“Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day,”
an entertaining and educational musical that helps young audiences
understand and accept that bad days happen to everyone, will be
staged in the Shea Center for Performing Arts at 2 p.m. on March
5 at William Paterson University in Wayne.
The story, based on Judith Viorst’s popular children’s
book, presents Alexander, a feisty young boy, who is struggling
with life’s daily dramas. He wakes up with gum in his hair
and then finds out that his mother forgot to pack him dessert for
lunch. His day continues to get worse after he fights with his best
friend. Even though Alexander’s mother can’t promise
that tomorrow will be a better day, she wishes him a “good
heart and good friends beside him.” The performance is appropriate
for kindergarten through fifth grade students.
Surflight Theatre, a professional theatre group located in Ocean
County, will present the performance.
Tickets are $5 for adults and free for children. For directions
or to purchase tickets, please call the Shea Center Box Office at
973-720-2371.
