William Paterson University Offers Expedited Admissions for Visiting
Students from Institutions Affected by Hurricane Katrina
William Paterson University will accept applications for expedited admission
of New Jersey resident students who were displaced from institutions of
higher education in the Gulf Coast area as a result of Hurricane Katrina.
While enrollment may be limited in certain courses and programs, the
University will waive the admissions fee and will accept proxy documents, on
a temporary basis, regarding the acceptance and/or enrollment at affected
institutions.
Some housing opportunities are also available.
In addition, the University will offer such students deferred payment of
tuition and fees.
Students must apply to the Office of Admissions to take advantage of this
opportunity by September 12, since classes will be in session beginning
September 6. For information, students should call Anthony Leckey, director
of admissions, at 973-720-2763.
