Baroque cellist David Bakamjian and harpsichordist Rebecca Pechefsky will present German and French music by musical composers Georg Philipp Telemann, J.S. Bach, Jean Barriere and Elisabeth Jacquet de la Guerre on Thursday, March 3 in Shea Center on campus as part of the University’s Midday Artist Series. The program begins at 12:30 p.m. Admission is $3.

The concert will include one of Bach’s imaginative suites for solo cello and an elaborate suite for solo harpsichord by La Guerre. Baroque flutist Andrew Bolotowsky will also perform with the duo.

Pechefsky has presented solo recitals at the Weill Recital Hall and Carnegie Hall. She is also the co-artistic director of music at Morris-Jumel Mansion, an historic home in Manhattan. Bakamjian and Pechefsky recently recorded an album, “Northern Lights: Music from the German Baroque,” which will be released later this spring.
