WILLIAM PATERSON UNIVERSITY SMALL BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT CENTER TO OPEN BRANCH OFFICES IN CLIFTON AND WAYNE ON JUNE 7

The William Paterson University Small Business Development Center, located at 131 Ellison St. in Paterson, will open two new branches to better serve the small businesses of Passaic County. Grand opening celebrations will be held on Tuesday, June 7 at the new branches:  from 10 a.m. to noon at North Fork Bank, 11 Ackerman Ave. in Clifton, and from 1 to 3 p.m. at the University’s 1600 Valley Road building in Wayne.

Kate Muldoon, regional director of the William Paterson Small Business Development Center, and other experienced counselors will be available to answer questions about how to start, grow, and better manage a small business. North Fork Bank representatives will be available to provide advice on financing a business. Forms and applications necessary for registering a business with the State of New Jersey and Passaic County, as well as acquiring a tax ID number, will also be available.

“By expanding to these new locations, we are seeking to make more current and potential small business owners in Passaic County aware of the free services that are offered by the Small Business Development Center,” says Muldoon.

The William Paterson Small Business Development Center, cosponsored by the City of Paterson and Rutgers University, is one of 11 full-service regional centers in New Jersey that provide free management consulting services and affordable training to help small business owners and entrepreneurs in every county of New Jersey. The New Jersey Small Business Development Center is a partnership of the U.S. Small Business Administration, the New Jersey Commerce and Economic Growth Commission and college and university hosts around New Jersey. Its mission is to foster small business growth by helping entrepreneurs manage, market, and finance their ventures in all industries. Services include assistance in obtaining financing, writing a business plan, and achieving Small Business, Minority, and/or Woman-Owned Business Certification. The Small Business Development Centers also offer programs for government procurement, commercializing technology, international trade and e-business.
