WILLIAM PATERSON UNIVERSITY PRESENTS STAGE VERSION OF “THE SHAPE OF THINGS” FROM OCTOBER 27 TO NOVEMBER 6
William Paterson University in Wayne will present a production of “The Shape of Things,” Neil LaBute’s drama, from October 27 to November 6 in the Hunziker Black Box Theatre on campus.
In this drama, LaBute, universally known for such movies as “Possession” and “In the Company of Men,” follows the journey of four college students as they strive to answer the pleasurable and painful questions associated with art and love. “The Shape of Things” is the source of the 2003 major motion picture starring Paul Rudd, Gretchen Mol,Rachel Weisz and Fred Weller.
The William Paterson University production features a cast of four University students: Carrie Littman of Sparta; Carla Rodrigues of Newark; Brian Whelan of Oakland; and Asmar Williams-Hemby of East Orange. The production is directed by Elizabeth Stroppel, Ph.D., William Paterson University assistant professor of communication.
Curtain times for “The Shape of Things” are 8 p.m. on October 27 – 29 and November 3 - 5; and 2 p.m. on October 30 and November 6. Tickets are $10, $7 for senior citizens. For directions or to purchase tickets, please call the Shea Center Box Office at 973-720-2371.
