Phil Simms, NFL TV Analyst and Former QB, to Speak at William Paterson University’s Distinguished Lecturer Series on January 26 -- Nine Days Before Super Bowl XLI
—Town Hall–Style Meeting to be moderated by Peter King of Sports Illustrated
Phil Simms, TV football analyst and former star quarterback, will speak as part of William Paterson University’s 27th Distinguished Lecturer Series (DLS) in a conversation moderated by Sports Illustrated writer Peter King on Friday, January 26, at 8 p.m. in the University’s Shea Center for the Performing Arts, Wayne, N.J. This unique opportunity will take place nine days before Super Bowl XLI.

The DLS audience will have a unique opportunity to chat with Simms about the big game as he shares his insights as a top NFL TV analyst and his years as a superstar quarterback with the New York Giants. Peter King, the senior football writer for Sports Illustrated (SI), will moderate the town-hall-style meeting.
As an All-Pro quarterback, Simms played his entire fifteen-year career with the New York Giants, leading them to two Super Bowl titles; he holds 19 team records. He joined CBS Sports in January 1998 and is the lead analyst for the network’s NFL coverage. Peter King joined SI as a staff writer in 1989 after spending nearly a decade as an award-winning newspaper journalist. A writer who has won many awards for excellence throughout his journalism career, he is SI’s primary NFL expert and is one of the country’s premier pro football writers and commentators.
