WILLIAM PATERSON UNIVERSITY TO PRESENT BAM! THE BLUE BARREL SHOW, ON SATURDAY, APRIL 14
The art of comedy-percussion will be on display on Saturday, April 14, when William Paterson University in Wayne presents BAM! The Blue Barrel Show, at 7 p.m. in Shea Center on campus.
BAM! The Blue Barrel Show features side-splitting comedy and virtuoso drumming performed by an award-winning trio from Canada. The BAM characters also speak a unique language, “BAMspeech,” spoken only by them, but understood by everyone from three to 83 years old.
Since its creation in 1999, BAM! has presented The Blue Barrel Show throughout Canada, the United States, Europe, South America, Africa, the Middle East, Asia, and New Zealand. The show has won numerous awards, including the 2002 Public Choice Award at the International Showcase in Valladolid, Spain, and the 2003 Markus Markoni Public Choice Award at the International Street Festival in Rotterdam, Holland.
The event is part of William Paterson’s University Performing Arts’ Vistas Series, designed to serve the University’s students and faculty, as well as the surrounding multicultural community. Funding for the Vistas Series at William Paterson University has been made possible, in part, by the New Jersey State Council on the Arts/Department of State.
Tickets for the performance are $15 standard, $12 for senior citizens and members of the William Paterson community, and $8 for students. For additional information or to reserve tickets, contact the Shea Center Box Office at 973-720-2371.
