MIKE BIRBIGLIA’S SECRET PUBLIC TOUR TO BE PERFORMED AT WILLIAM PATERSON UNIVERSITY ON OCTOBER 10
Mike Birbiglia, comedian and author of the popular blog and syndicated radio segment, “My Secret Public Journal,” will share his most private, awkward and hilarious experiences during his performance at William Paterson University’s Shea Center for Performing Arts on Wednesday, October 10, 2007 at 8 p.m.
Titled “Comedy Central Live: Mike Birbiglia’s Secret Public Tour,” the performance originated as a blog and a regular segment on the nationally syndicated radio show, The Bob & Tom Show. Birbiglia will also release a CD, Mike Birbiglia’s Secret Public Journal LIVE, in September and he is developing his Secret Public Journal as a series for NBC.
Birbiglia starred in two of his own “Comedy Central Presents” specials, and is a regular on The Late Show with David Letterman and Late Night with Conan O’Brien. He released the critically acclaimed 2006 CD/DVD, Two Drink Mike, on Comedy Central Records.
The event is part of William Paterson’s University Performing Arts’ Vistas Series, designed to serve the University’s students and faculty, as well as the surrounding multicultural community. Funding for the Vistas Series at William Paterson University has been made possible, in part, by the New Jersey State Council on the Arts/Department of State.
