Retired New Jersey Chief Justice Deborah T. Poritz to be Interviewed by Steve Adubato as Part of William Paterson University’s Distinguished Lecturer Series on March 16

Deborah T. Poritz, retired chief justice of the New Jersey Supreme Court, will be interviewed by Steve Adubato, host of One-on-One with Steve Adubato, as part of William Paterson University’s 27th Distinguished Lecturer Series on March 16 at 8 p.m. in the University’s Shea Center for the Performing Arts, Wayne, N.J.

Chief Justice Poritz has affected the lives of New Jerseyans for many years as the state’s first female chief justice of the Supreme Court and first female attorney general. Poritz was sworn in as chief justice in July 1996 after she served as the state’s attorney general, as well as deputy and assistant attorney general. From 1989 to 1990, she served as chief counsel to Gov. Thomas Kean.

Poritz, who retired from the bench in October 2006 and joined Drinker, Biddle & Reath, a law firm in Princeton, will discuss her impressive career and the major issues that she faced when she is interviewed by Emmy Award-winning anchor Steve Adubato. Their interaction will air on his TV program, One-on-One with Steve Adubato, on CN8-The Comcast Network throughout the East coast at a later date.

Adubato is an Emmy Award-winning anchor for Thirteen/WNET (PBS), who is also a media analyst for MSNBC.  He previously appeared on the FOX News Channel as an expert commentator. Adubato currently provides political commentary on 77-WABC, the #1 talk radio station in the country and has hosted on the network. He is a much sought after motivational speaker, Star-Ledger columnist and the author of two books, Speak from the Heart and Make the Connection. His third book will examine highly-publicized and often controversial public relations and media mishaps.
