William Paterson University and Passaic County Community College Sign Transfer Agreement
Passaic County Community College students who graduate withany of nine different associate’s degrees will now be able to transfer to William Paterson University without losing credits as part of an agreement signed by the two institutions.
“This agreement will allow Passaic County Community College graduates to transition with ease into a variety of four-year bachelor’s degree programs at the University,” says Edward Weil, provost and senior vice president for academic affairs at William Paterson. “We look forward to working with Passaic County Community College on additional program agreements in order to better serve the students in the northern region of New Jersey.”
The agreement involves nine majors at PCCC, and 22 majors at William Paterson. Students transferring from PCCC can move into majors including accounting, finance, global business, management, marketing, professional sales, African, African American and Caribbean studies, Asian studies, anthropology, English, French and Francophone studies, geography and urban studies, history, Latin American studies, philosophy, political science, psychology, sociology, Spanish, women’s studies, biology, chemistry, and computer science. Several majors can be combined with teacher certification programs.
