WILLIAM PATERSON UNIVERSITY COMMUNICATION DEPARTMENT PRESENTS “QUILTERS” FROM APRIL 17 TO 22
The Communication Department at William Paterson University in Wayne will present a production of the musical “Quilters,” from April 17 to 22 in the Hunziker Black Box Theatre on campus.
“Quilters,” by Molly Newman and Barbara Damashek, patches together the story of pioneer women as they struggled to tame the frontier into a home. Their joys and tragedies come alive in this stylized mosaic of words, music, songs and dance. Blocks of quilts form pictures of their lives and legacy of courage and creativity in the untamed West.
The cast is comprised of William Paterson University students: Alexandra Biancullia of Bogota; Maria Brodeur of Rockaway Township; Colleen Clark of Bangor, Maine; Ashley Cronk of Ridgewood; Lisa Dakak of Clifton; Ashley Hartman of Arnold, Md.; and Stacie Plasket of Glassboro. Sherrie Ahlin, William Paterson University adjunct faculty in communication, directs and Warren Helms, William Paterson University adjunct faculty in music, is the musical director.
Show times for “Quilters” are April 17 to 21 at 8 p.m., and April 22 at 3 p.m. Tickets are $10, $7 for students, senior citizens and the William Paterson community. For directions or to purchase tickets, please call the Shea Center Box Office at 973-720-2371.
