SURFLIGHT THEATRE PRESENTS SCHOOLHOUSE ROCK LIVE! AT WILLIAM PATERSON UNIVERSITY ON NOVEMBER 11
Schoolhouse Rock Live!, a pop culture phenomenon transformed for the musical stage by the Surflight Theatre, will be presented at William Paterson University’s Shea Center for Performing Arts on Sunday, November 11, 2007 at 2 p.m.
Schoolhouse Rock Live! is based on the Emmy Award-winning 1970s Saturday cartoon series that taught history, grammar, math, science, and politics through clever, tuneful songs.
Tom, a school teacher nervous about his first day of teaching, tries to relax when various characters representing facets of his personality show him how to win his students over with imagination and music. Songs include A Noun is a Person, Place or Thing, Three is a Magic Number, Unpack your Adjectives and many more! Memorable songs combined with comical live action guarantee a fun learning experience for children in kindergarten through grade 5.
Surflight Theatre is a non-profit professional theatre company based in Beach Haven, N.J.
Tickets are $9. For ticket information, call the Shea Center Box Office at 973-720-2371.
