WILLIAM PATERSON UNIVERSITY PRESENTS “ROOSTERS” FROM OCTOBER 23 to 28
William Paterson University in Wayne will present a production of “Roosters,” a drama by Milcha Sanchez-Scott, from October 23 to 28 in the Hunziker Black Box Theatre on campus. The production is presented in celebration of October as Latino Heritage Month.
“Roosters” brings to life cockfighting and tortilla rolling in southern California. As a Latino father and son struggle for dominance over a prized rooster, a mother, daughter and aunt search for their worth as women.
The cast features William Paterson University alumni Cynthia Anamaria of Holmdel and Carlos Jiga of Wayne, and students Brian Canever of Bayonne, Wanda DeCastro of Anchorage, Alaska, Luke Kurter of New Milford, Gabriel Morales of Orlando, Florida, and Jaclyn Ortiz of Mount Olive. The production is directed by Elizabeth Stroppel, an associate professor of communication at William Paterson University.
