Dickey Betts and Great Southern at William Paterson University on May 2

Dickey Betts and Great Southern will perform on Friday, May 2 at 8:00 p.m. at Shea Center for Performing Arts at William Paterson University in Wayne, N.J.

Betts, a founding member of the Allman Brothers Band, is known as one of the most influential guitar players of all time.  Surrounded with great musicianship, Betts’ guitar sound is still immediately recognizable.  Some of his memorable songs with the Allman Brothers Band include “Revival,” “Blue Sky,” and the group’s biggest hit, “Ramblin’ Man.” He now tours under the name Dickey Betts and Great Southern, which includes his son, Duane Betts, on lead guitar.

The event is part of William Paterson’s Shea Center Presents Vistas Series, designed to serve the University’s students and faculty, as well as the surrounding multicultural community. Funding for the Vistas Series at William Paterson University has been made possible, in part, by the New Jersey State Council on the Arts/Department of State. The concert is presented in partnership with Dakotah Blue Music.

Tickets to the show are $63 for Gold Circle seating; $55 for Orchestra and Loge; $45 for Upper Loge; and $35 for obstructed view. For additional information, please contact the Shea Center Box Office at boxoffice@wpunj.edu or call 973.720.2371.
