WILLIAM PATERSON UNIVERSITY’S CENTER FOR CLOSELY HELD BUSINESS PRESENTS BREAKFAST PROGRAM ON ENTREPRENEURSHIP ON MAY 8
—Entrepreneur Leila Jubran Shares Her Winning Strategies

Hard work, the ability to tolerate risk, and a willingness to adopt change as routine, are topics of discussion in a lecture on entrepreneurship for closely held and family businesses to be held at William Paterson University in Wayne, on Thursday, May 8. The event is conducted by the University’s Center for Closely Held Business.

The seminar, “Building Your Business—From Zero to Success,” will be held in the University’s building at 1600 Valley Road. The cost is $40 per person. The registration fee includes breakfast. For an additional $30, participants earn 0.2 CEUs or a two professional development hours certificate. The program is geared to the privately owned business sector.

The event features Leila Jubran, founder and president of LMJ International Logistics. In less than seven years, Jubran has single-handedly built a company from the ground up, averaging more than 25 percent growth in revenue each year. Her discussion will focus on how total customer satisfaction has helped LMJ achieve success. She will also talk about how to gain certification from the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council and how this certification can benefit women entrepreneurs. The discussion will be moderated by Basem Hishmeh, chairman of Sigma-Netics, Inc., and a member of the Executive Committee, Center for Closely Held Business at William Paterson.

The Center for Closely Held Business at William Paterson University was developed by and for successful closely held and family business leaders.  It draws on the strengths of the Cotsakos College of Business at William Paterson University—including faculty expertise and research, the William Paterson University Small Business Development Center, the College’s world-class facilities and the Russ Berrie Institute for Professional Sales—as well as local closely held and family businesses.

For additional information on the conference, or for reservations, visit the Center’s Web site at www.wpunj.edu/closelyheld or call 973-720-3934 or email chb@wpujn.edu.
