“DEAR AMERICA” AFTER SCHOOL PERFORMANCE AT WILLIAM PATERSON UNIVERSITY ON MARCH 4
“Dear America,” a high-spirited musical that promotes multi-culturalism in the United States, will be staged on Tuesday, March 4 at 4 p.m. in Shea Center for Performing Arts at William Paterson University in Wayne.
The show is an ideal event for after-school programs, youth groups, and the general public. It is presented by The Pushcart Players, an award-winning professional theatre and arts-in-education company.
“Dear America” is the story of Aunt Trudy, told by the letters she writes during her travels as a musician through the United States. Pieced together, her correspondence provides a stunning overview of America, past and present, and the roles each ethnic group played in creating a mosaic of our nation. Sometimes funny, sometimes sad, “Dear America” will engage young students.
Admission is $9 for students (teachers are free). Group rates are available. For directions or to purchase tickets, please call the Shea Center Box Office at 973.720.2371.
