WILLIAM PATERSON UNIVERSITY HOMECOMING SET FOR OCTOBER 11
--Pioneer Football Team to Play Morrisville State at 2 p.m.
William Paterson University in Wayne will celebrate Homecoming 2008 on Saturday, October 11. Alumni and members of the local community are invited to participate in a variety of events hosted by the William Paterson University Alumni Association.
Events include an Alumni Association Carnival and Barbeque from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. in Zanfino Plaza, in front of the University Commons. Alumni and their families are invited to join in some old-fashioned fun, including carnival games, prizes, face-painting, moonwalk, and hot dogs and hamburgers. The first 151 alumni to register receive a free t-shirt. The cost is $10 person, free for children 12 and under.
A party to celebrate the first anniversary of William Paterson’s expanded and renovated University Commons and John Victor Machuga Student Center will be held from noon to 2:30 p.m. in the Multipurpose Room. The festivities include food, music, trivia games, prizes and tours. Admission is $8.
The Pioneer Football Team squares off against Morrisville State at 2 p.m. on Wightman Field. Admission is $7, $5 for alumni.
David Crosby and Graham Nash, two of rock’s most legendary singer-songwriters will cap off the day with a performance at 8 p.m. in Shea Auditorium on campus. The concert, part of the University’s Vistas Series, will include a diverse range of memorable songs from throughout their careers, and spotlight selections from albums they've recorded together.
