El Repertorio Español presents Pilar Rioja at William Paterson University on March 28
Pilar Rioja, known worldwide as the Queen of Spanish dance, will perform at William Paterson University on Friday, March 28 at 8 p.m. in Shea Center for Performing Arts on the campus in Wayne, N.J.
Rioja studied many forms of dance, but it was in Spain where she combined her
modern, ballet and classical dance training with traditional Spanish dance forms.
She has entertained audiences in the United States, México, Latin America, Europe and throughout Russia for over six decades. With her extensive knowledge and experience, Rioja has become one of the world's great teachers of Spanish dance.
The event is part of William Paterson’s Shea Center Presents Vistas Series, designed to serve the University’s students and faculty, as well as the surrounding multicultural community. Funding for the Vistas Series at William Paterson University has been made possible, in part, by the New Jersey State Council on the Arts/Department of State.
Tickets to the show are $35 for Gold Circle seating; $25 for orchestra; and $20 loge. For more information, call the Shea Center Box Office at 973-720-2371.
