The William Paterson University Small Business Development Center  (SBDC) will open a new satellite office at Passaic County Community College in Wanaque to help better serve the small businesses of Passaic County. The Center’s main office is in Paterson.

A grand opening celebration will be held on Tuesday, March 25, 2008 at the new branch from 4 to 6 p.m. at Passaic County Community College, 500 Union Avenue, Room 201, Wanaque, New Jersey. Beginning April 1, 2008, free consulting services will be available by appointment on Tuesday evenings from 1 to 5 p.m. in the Wanaque office by calling 973-754-8695.

Kate Muldoon, regional director of the William Paterson Small Business Development Center, and other experienced consultants will be available to answer questions about how to start, grow, and better manage a small business.

“By expanding to this new location, we are seeking to make current and potential small business owners in Passaic County aware of the free services that are offered by the Small Business Development Center.  We are thrilled to have Passaic County Community College as a strong partner in this endeavor to help with this mission.” says Muldoon.

Services include assistance in obtaining financing, writing a business plan, and achieving small business, minority, and/or woman-owned business certification. Other services include the use of a small business resource library, low-cost training and workshops, and referrals to experts.

William Paterson University’s Small Business Development Center is a component of the University’s Cotsakos College of Business, 1600 Valley Road, Wayne, N.J.  The main branch is located at 131 Ellison Street in Paterson, N.J., 07505 and is open 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. from Monday through Friday.
